Class and mode of action: The formulation is an insecticide that combines two active substances, cyantraniliprole an insecticide for the control of mealybugs, thrips, lepidoptera, thrips and liriomyza and acibenzolar-s-methyl an activator of the plant’s defense mechanism to reduce virus infections. The active ingredient cyantraniliprole belongs to the chemical family of anthranilate diamides and works through the activation of insect ryanodine receptors. This activation causes the release of calcium from the internal muscle stores of the insects, with the immediate result of reduced muscle function, paralysis and subsequent killing of the target insects. Cyantraniliprole acts primarily through the stomach and has limited contact action. The active ingredient acibenzolar-s-methyl belongs to the chemical family of benzothiadiazoles. It is a systemic activator of the plant’s defense mechanisms (SAR), it is quickly taken up by all parts of the plant as well as by the roots and with its metabolite it is moved to the tip and basipetals in all the plant parts.
Method of application: The product is applied either by foliar spraying or by drip irrigation.
Resiliency Management:
The preparation contains the active ingredient cyantraniliprole, which belongs to group 28 according to IRAC.
To reduce the risk of developing resistance, the following are recommended:
Application of chemical, biological methods and other cultivation practices to keep the population of target insects at low levels.
The preparation in combination with other products of the same chemical group (anthranilate diamides), can be applied in rotation with insecticides of different modes of action and up to 2 times during the growing season.
Up to two (2) consecutive applications of products of the same chemical group (anthranilic diamides) in an “application window” are acceptable when they are made during one generation of the target insects.
Avoid exposing successive generations of the target insect to products with the same mode of action.
In the event that reduced effectiveness is found, applications with products of a different mode of action should follow.
Safety interval between application and human or animal access to the crop to which the preparation has been applied:
Workers can enter after 3 days in the crop where the application of the formulation by foliar spray was carried out.
Phytotoxicity data:
It is not phytotoxic when used in the recommended doses and crops.
Storage conditions, time stability of the formulation:
It remains stable for at least 2 years if kept in its original packaging under normal ambient conditions.
